Job summary
Senior Pipeline Engineer required by our client to join their project based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, residentially based, 12 month contract. Successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that scope of work is fulfilled within ALL the pipeline engineering design disciplines.
Main Job Responsibilities:
* Ensures that FEED is updated as required by the contractor.
* Reviews and makes on, as leader, all contractor’s design deliverables in due time, in particular ensuring that discipline engineers implement pipeline design codes and adhere to pipeline concepts.
* Anticipates problems within the design disciplines and informs OUR Pipeline Engineering Coordinator.
* Ensure in compliance and sustainable responses to contractor’s Technical Queries and Technical Deviation Requests.
* Liaises with other disciplines to ensure consistency of the work. Coordinates with Operations to ensure compliance of the works with other TEPNG stakeholders.
* Makes occasional Site visits to check contractor pipeline routings and follows contractor site surveys.
* Reviews and analyzes planning updates including critical path for discipline related activities; reviews and approves progress for discipline related activities, and coordinates with Project planning engineer.
* Ensures that OUR Pipeline deliverables are in conformity with development on OML58 Upgrade as far as possible and assist interface coordinator in that matter.
Experienced Required:
* 15 years APPLICABLE experience in carrying out Pipeline Engineering & Design activities on basic and detailed engineering projects.
* Previous work with Oil & Gas EPC contractor or operator.
* Fluent in English language.
* Leadership experience.

Job summary
Our client a major in the oil and gas industry require a Senior Contract Engineer to work on their project based in Lagos, Nigeria. Position is residentially based, ongoing contract, candidates wishing to apply for this role must have similar previous experience.
Main Job Responsibilities:
* Prepare documentation for and undertake pre-qualification exercises to determine supplier tender lists
* Prepare Call for Tender (CFT) documentation and contract documentation (ITT, Agreements, Contract Exhibits) ensuring that these comply with company and other relevant procedures.
* Participate directly in the negotiation of Contacts / Purchase Orders with Tenderers, providing support to Drilling and Completions Package Manager and Technical staff during Technical discussion and participating directly with the Drilling and Completions Package Manager in the commercial/contractual negotiations.
* Ensure that the tender processes are in compliance with Project procedures and particularly the relevant rules involved in Tendering for contracts in Nigeria.
* Provide advice to the Company representative on contractual issues, and prepare / validate all contractual correspondence
* Analyse requests for change orders, and prepare / validate change order documents where appropriate
* Ensure all contractual certificates and guarantees by Contractor are in place and in the due time
* Prepare the certificates to be issued to Contractor by Company in accordance with the contract
* Coordinate the processing of Contractor’s monthly applications for payment, and verifying invoice submissions
Skills/Qualifications:
* A MINIMUM of 8 – 10 years of contracts experience (BOTH pre and post contract award) within the Oil & Gas or other directly relevant sector
* Previous experience in the preparation/negotiation/administration of drilling and completions services contracts in an Operator or Lead Contractor environment is essential
* English fluent (written and spoken)

Ensures there is awareness within the Asset of market capacity and capability and that requirements are offered to the market in a time and manner that will maximise success and optimal value. Ensures the appropriate contractual relationships are in place which balance commercial value with risk and maximize cost recovery.
Implements the Group’s C&P strategy and roadmap for change in order to:
increase value-add through improved cost discipline and contractor/supplier management ensure clear accountability for C&P governance (policies, standards, compliance and assurance)
reinforce C&P accountability across functional lines improve Contractor Performance Management (CPM) and Contractor Relationship Management (CRM) ensure full C&P participation in the business planning process embed C&P minimum Standards (including Business Principles, local content and social responsibility) in all C&P activity assure good C&P governance which implements clear C&P policies and standards in the Asset high-grade C&P staff, in order to deliver projects in the business plan on time and within budget, to high quality and HSSE standards
