JOB SUMMARY:
RESPONSIBILITIES / OUTPUT:


The role: 1. Provide tax compliance and tax planning advice (consulting) 2. Carrying out tax health checks for clients with a view of identifying tax exposure areas and planning opportunities 3. Assisting clients during KRA tax audits, including lodging objections and appeals. 4. Assessing and advising clients on the impact of tax legislation 5. Conducting relevant research using the available tools for the purpose of providing tax advice 6. Working with other members of the tax team for the purposes of providing practical and effective business solutions to our clients.
COMPETENCIES / SKILLS:
The selected candidate will possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university, an accounting or tax qualification will be added advantage. They will have proven technical knowledge and understanding of direct tax (corporate tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing and PAYE) or indirect tax (VAT, customs & excise) gained in either a big 4 professional services firm or a similar organisation with at least 3 to 5 years experience. Essential attributes for this role are strong communication skills, developed research and problem solving skills, a positive outgoing personality, a team player and a focus on personal and professional development.
