SHIPPING SUPERVISOR
Objective:
• To coordinate and supervise activities in the Packing Plant for the purpose of loading and despatching Cement in accordance with loading procedures and according to raised invoices
Responsibilities
• To ensure the Safety of all subordinates in the section
• To supervise and coordinate Packng and Loading activities
• To ensure Packing and Loading activities are in accordance with Specifications
• To ensure that Production equipment is functioning at optimum level and in good condition
• To influence the pace of production by advising on Product Stock Level
• To analyse failures, problems and proffer corrective actions
Candidate’s Profile:
• OND (with minimum of 5 years’ cognate experience)/HND in Geology, Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, or Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a process industry with similar operation
• Good team player and self-motivated
• Strong coaching ability; ability to motivate and inspire teamwork
• Ability to take initiatives based on sound problem solving skills
• Demonstrate leadership skills via work ethics, ability to delegate and motivate, fairness etc; must be hands-on
• Very good written and verbal communications skills
• Commitment to the highest standards of safe work habits

Total Exploration & Production Nigeria is recruiting for Environmental Officer. The role will be based in Port Harcourt.
ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER
Job description
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties:
- Implement environmental management system
- Enforce, supervise and control the implementation of company environmental policy through inspections and environmental awareness campaign
- Perform regular environmental inspections/audits, raise anomalies, issue report and monitor improvement actions follow up
- Organize with support from HSE Corporate all ISO 14001 external certification audits
- Perform environmental risk assessment (with Safety counterpart) of any job having risk to the environment.
- Update/establish procedures and standing instructions related to environment aspects.
- Improve environmental awareness among JVA Offshore sites personnel through communication campaign and training program on site.
- Maintain, develop and/or establish environmental documentation (environmental dossier, waste management plan, monitoring plan, aspect & impact registers, environmental records)
- Maintain the readiness of oil spill preparedness equipment and team with the support of line management.
- Prepare, participate and or animate any relevant meeting.
- Act as internal auditors for EMS audits
- Manage contractual agreements between company and third party
Required skills :
Education :
The ideal applicant should have a BSc in environmental sciences / applied sciences / geoscientist with a minimum of second class lower division.
Experience :
The ideal applicant should have at least 5 years post qualification experience, of which 3 years should have been spent in the oil & gas industry on environmental related duties.
Skills :
The ideal applicant should possess the following skills:
- Good communication, analytical, and presentation skills will be added advantage.
- Good persuasive skills
- Good organizational ability and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
