VACANCIES in a CONSTRUCTION COMPANY

LAND SURVEYORS
• B.sc/HND in Surveying, a qualified member of the institute is an added advantage with substantial progress at the professional examination
• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to use modern survey equipment and interpret report
• Minimum of 3 years experience.
QUANTITY SURVEYORS
• The successful candidate must possess a B.sc/HND in Quantity Surveying
• Ability to do certification/valuation of reports and evaluation of miles stones on projects
• Minimum of 4 years cognate experience.
CIVIL ENGINEERS
• Graduate of Civil Engineering or Building Technology (B.sc/HND)
• Ability to work without supervision
• 5 years working experience with practical skills and ability to use AutoCAD
• COREN registration is an added advantage.
ADMIN MANAGER
• Candidates must possess a good honors degree/HND in Humanities, Social Sciences
• Excellent written/oral communication
• A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, one of which must be in-a senior management position of a reputable company
• Membership of CIPM or MBA added advantage.
ADMIN OFFICERS
• Candidates must possess a good honors degree/HND in Humanities, social sciences/any other related discipline.
• Candidates must be experienced Admin officers with minimum of two years working experience.
ACCOUNTANTS
• A good degree or HND in Accountancy
• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience in related service industry
• Good knowledge of computer based accounting packages e.g. Quick book, etc
• Experience in auditing and internal control procedure
• Must have a high level of integrity and responsibility
• Holders of ACA would have an added advantage.
ACCOUNT OFFICERS
• A good degree or HND in Accountancy
• Young Accountants who have worked for a minimum of two years in an organized environment • Computer versatility is a must.
MARKETERS
• Candidates must possess a good honors degree/HND in Humanities, Social Sciences
• Interested candidates must be presently working as marketers in well structured firm
• Ideal candidates must show strong will to succeed and drive sales in a way to surpass the expected monthly and annual sales target
• Minimum of two years marketing experience in a firm
• Ability to be part of a proactive team and ready to work with little supervision.
PLUMBERS
• Candidates must possess OND or Trade Test 1 or City Guild in plumbing with a minimum of three years experience
• Applicant must have completed apprenticeship training in a reputable company.

Addax Petroleum Vacancies: Senior Geologist

Addax Petroleum, one of the largest independent oil producers in West Africa, is currently in search of highly talented and well-experienced professionals with appropriate skill sets to help build capacity for current and future expansion within its Asset Management, Human Resource Management and Drilling Engineering teams.
Job Title: Senior Geologist REF: ASM1001
Requirements
• Carry out geological work required for the timely execution of designated projects in an efficient and cost effective manner. according to agreed technical specifications and standards
• Develop 3D static geological models to support dynamic simulation, field reviews. field development plans and ongoing drilling activities
• Identify and evaluate infill and appraisal well opportunities in designated projects
• Provide geological input into well proposals and field development plans and presentation of same to partners and local approval agencies
• Provide technical/operational advice while drilling and maintain up-to-date well progress data. subsurface maps and geological information
• Prepare and obtain approval for contracts to cover geological technical work associated with third party service providers as required to support in-house technical teams. and ensure adherence/compliance with agreed scopes of work and contract ceiling values
• Efficient supervision, mentoring and coaching of less experienced geological staff
Qualification and Experience
• B.Sc or M.Scdegree in Geology.
• Minimum of 12 relevant years experience in production geology (preferably with a major international operator) including exposure to well site drilling operations, reservoir geology, fault modeling, petrophysics, seismic interpretation, formation evaluation, 3D stalic sedimentology, reservoir engineering and geological modeling.

Responsibilities
i.Actively involved in the design of new programs to meet clients’ needs and placing of business with client-approved underwriter.
ii. Checks insurance contracts for special clauses and obtains claim documentation to meet contractual
reporting requirements.
ill. Establishes and maintains strong client relationships.
iv, Pursues premium collection in line with the company’s guidelines.
v. Responds to clients’ queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly.
vi. Responds to clients’ requests for information (insurer financial reports, industry issues, etc)
vii. Documents all external correspondence and conversations in accordance with IBN Standards guidelines to minimize the potential for errors and omissions.
viii. Conducts renewal of insurance programs.
ix. Updates Management on issues, progress, etc, regularly and upon.
Qualification.
i. Degree-qualified in Insurance, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics or related discipline.
ii. Possession of professional qualification such as ACII is desirable.
iii. Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience within the Insurance industry is mandatory.
iv. Articulate with sound logical reasoning.
v. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
vi. Good organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and control workflow.
vii. Good oral and written presentation skills.
viii. Mastery of database management programs (MS Excel & Access) and presentation (PowerPoint) skills.
ix. Must be flexible and adaptable in a changing business environment
x. Must demonstrate positive attitude and strong work ethic.
xi. Must demonstrate sound, balanced and timely decision making skills.
