OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
MSH seeks Deputy Chief of Party candidates with both technical and financial/operations experience in the management of HIV/AIDS programs. The ideal candidate will possess experience managing USAID or USG funded programs and ensures that all program activities adhere to USG rules and regulations.
The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) will work closely with the Chief of Party (COP) to support the NICAB II project’s performance and for the achievement of intended project results in the following areas:

1. Project Management
2. Representation of MSH within NICAB II Project
3. Supervision
Qualifications
1. Master’s degree in public health, public administration, management, or equivalent relevant experience required.
2. Experience in HIV/AIDS project management and implementation; financial/operations experience in developing and/or transitional countries.
3. Demonstrated skills, abilities, and experiences to:
a. Lead and manage a program of similar magnitude and complexity.
b. Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
c. Develop and maintain working relationships with US and foreign governments, development partners, and civil society.
4. Previous experience in Nigeria or similarly challenging environment in Africa is preferable.
5. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner.
6. Familiarity with and understanding of USAID regulations and administrative procedures preferred.
7. Experience in grants management preferred.
8. Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated by ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, clients and consultants.
9. Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills; demonstrated by ability to work both independently and within a team, assess priorities, and manage a variety of activities with attention to detail.
10. Expert skills in Excel Spreadsheets, as well as Word; comfortable in a Windows PC environment.
This position will be based in Abuja. Please note that relocation assistance and allowances are available.
