Careers Nigeria: Head of Talent Resourcing

Careers Nigeria is working on behalf of an FMCG client. They are searching for a Head of Talent Resourcing.
This is a senior role which reports directly to the HR Director and is a member of the HR management team. The team is responsible for leading the People Plan and ensuring the business is flexible and fit to compete successfully in the market and create ongoing innovation and value for Customers.
Job Role
To lead the resourcing strategy for talent coming into the business, and ensure that the organization has the right skills, talent pipeline and future resources to operate at its best.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Analyzing areas such as strategic people & workforce planning
• Manage the on-going projects and people planning objectives for the business.
• Talent management
• Managing managerial cadre recruitment strategies
• Advising on assessment approaches – devising, running and evaluating selection processes including interviews, psychometric tests, personality questionnaires and various group activities
• Designing or revising application forms, including maintaining online processes;
• Design and implement a senior candidate attraction strategy per vacancy.
• Staying abreast of market practices and trends
• Train staff in interviewing techniques and on the role of the assessor at a selection centre;
• Identifying credible search agencies and managing the relationships.
• Preparing other recruitment material, for example, brochures and other materials.
• Developing creative recruitment solutions if the organization is experiencing difficulties in attracting the appropriate level and quality of staff;
• Provide monthly reports to the HR Director on key metrics e.g. Time per hire, cost per hire.
• To develop, implement and communicate Company policies and procedures as well as develop job descriptions for all positions
• Ensure all jobs are evaluated
• Meet Senior stakeholders and Director level to discuss, advise and design role profiles.
Candidate Experience and Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of Reward, Talent Management and Resourcing at a senior HR role (minimum of 10 years’ experience, preferably within an FMCG environment).
  • Project based skills such as trend analysis and benchmarking.
  • Talent Resourcing metrics and analytical skills.
  • Understands development technology and solutions.
  • Experienced in leading and developing own team.
  • Understands challenges of faced paced organisation environment.
  • Good degree. Must be a member of CIPM.
