Person Specifications:
Education/Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree or HND is essential.
• Membership of recognised chartered accounting institute is essential
Experience
• At least ten years post NYSC experience, with five years’ post professional qualification experience and five years audit experience with 3 years of that spent at management level is essential
• Ability to use SUN accounting system is desirable
• Experience in working with international development agencies is desirable.
• Experience of risk-based auditing and Risk Management is desirable
Skill/ Abilities
• Attention to details; fluency in spoken and written English language; ability to work independently and in a team & highly-numerate skills are essential.
• Excellent planning and prioritisation skills & strong analytical/problem solving skills are desirable. .
Personal Qualities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; well developed and proven interpersonal & organisational management skills; able to work effectively in a diverse team environment; creative and should be able to take initiative; should be ready to work additional hours at crucial times; must be willing to travel extensively, confident to train staff effectively in a fast-paced environment & high integrity are essential

A leading operator in the cement manufacturing sector of the economy requires competent, self-motivated and experienced personnel for immediate engagement
POSITION: INTERNAL AUDITOR (CODE IA 001)
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reports to the Head of internal Audit/Internal control manager.
• To ensure policies and procedures established by management are strictly followed by conducting internal control assessment based on agreed audit time table.
• To review internal control process and suggest on improvements where necessary.
• To carry out ad-hoc assignment and investigations that may be assigned by Internal Control Manager
DESIRED SKILLS
• Must have understanding of the cement industry or a similar industrial business and regulatory environment.
• Must have knowledge of sound business and accounting/control practices and computer systems.
• Must have working knowledge of Audit programs such as TeamMate CCH,
QUALIFICATION
• A minimum of Bachelor of Science degree (Or its equivalent) in Accounting, Business Administration and/or Finance from a recognized University and Membership of ICAN or equivalent.
• Other professional qualifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), CISA, CFE will be a desired advantage.
THE PERSON
• Age below 32 years
• Proactive
• Self motivated
• Disciplined
• Assertive
• Analytical, very Energetic with good team, leadership skills (must be a team player).
• High level of drive
• Result Oriented and good Communication skills.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 2-5 years post-qualification experience in an industrial plant (preferably cement manufacturing) with some audit experience in a reputable firm.
