Candidates should hold first degree with minimum of Second Class Lower division or HND with Upper  Credit and relevant professional accounting qualifications. Candidates should possess strong work ethics and time management skills, ability to learn fast and work with minimal supervision. In addition, they should possess problem recognition and resolution skills, analytical and inquisitive mind, ability to work under pressure and excellent report writing skills.

Qualification & Experience

Requirements.
The following qualifications and levels of experience are desired:
1. A Master’s degree
2. At Least five years cognate experience.
3. Ability to explore, identify and track program funding opportunities,
4. Ability to develop an appropriate and effective fundraising strategy involving research of current and prospective donors, product development, marketing, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
5. Experience in leading and coordinate processes to ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals to identified donors and funding opportunities.
6. Knowledge of cost application and budgeting processes
7. Familiarity with funding solicitation mechanisms, regulation and standard provisions, and programming priorities of maj donors.
8. Ability to support communications initiatives that help capture the successes associated with current programming.

New Job at MSH

POSITION: FINANCE & ADMIN OFFICER (FAO)
LOCATION: KEBBI

RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Finance and Admin Officer will oversee the operations and finances of the state office and will:
• Be responsible for all day to day accounting, check writing and managing bank account following USAID regulation and MSH policy and procedures
• Ensure the proper use, maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment, such as generators, vehicles, communication, computer units and peripherals, video and audio equipment, other office equipment, and air conditioners.
• Provide logistics support and coordination to all field activities and staff travel.
• Ensure implementation of regulations and procedures for local purchase, procurement and logistics management.
• Maintain rigorous operations in the field office, communicating regularly with the home office to assure smooth operations.
• Assist technical staff to develop and manage monthly and quarterly activity budgets.
• Supervise administrative and finance staff.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
• University Degree in Business Management or Accounting or equivalent certification from a Business Technical School
• Minimum 3 years management experience with USAID funded project.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to use accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks).
• Demonstrate good judgment and sound financial “common sense”.
• Ability to monitor budgets
• Understand the principles of adequate documentation and of audit and performance necessary to ensure audit compliance.
• Advanced written and verbal proficiency in English including business terminology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Note: There are no relocation allowances available for these positions.
