Job description :
The successful candidate will carry out but not limited to the following:
- Ensure the analysis, interpretation and synthesis of geophysical data.
- Guarantee the reliability of interpretations of geophysical data.
- Validate data (whether or not geophysical) used as input in interpretation studies
- Contribute to the development of geological models within the framework of integrated projects
- Participate in or Ensure technical assessments of issues within for data rooms (1)
- Ensure the archiving and on-going management of acquired information (reports, data management)
- Conceive and Validate new evaluation methods (1)
- Manage Mono or Pluri-disciplinary projects (1)
- Supervise Mono/Pluri-disciplinary teams (1)
- Take part defining the objectives of a study
- Define/Validate the human and material resources required to conduct a study (1)
- Guarantee the compliance with objectives, in particular costs and deadlines
- Guarantee good interdisciplinary communication within the projects
- Ensure effective external communication /Reports / Anticipation
- Ensure the Spread of techniques and hands-on Training (1)
- Maintain and Guarantee the quality of regional knowledge (knowledge management) (1)
- Take part in the ranking of ventures (new or patrimonial)
- Represent the Geophysical discipline vis-à-vis partners
- Issue recommendations to persons in charge of studies and interpreters, including in affiliates.
- Propose and Guarantee original solutions for complex issues (1)
- Devise training activities applicable to problems of interpretation/synthesis, at Group level
Required skills :
Education :
The successful candidate should have a BSC degree
Experience :
The successful candidate should have 3 to 6 years experience in seismic interpretation
Skills :
The successful candidate should have the following skills:
- Proficiency in geophysical interpretation techniques and tools
- Knowledge of geological models
- Knowledge of techniques and tools for seismic processing
- Knowledge of related Geoscience disciplines 3
- Knowledge of seismic acquisition techniques and tools
- Knowledge of specialist geophysics techniques and tools
- Knowledge of geostatistical techniques and uncertainties
- Data processing (UNIX –NT environments)
- Data management
